Question by Want To Cook: Is there a way to go on a cruise cheap walk on?
I live in Tampa and I am wondering if you can show up and get a cheap rate at the port? Like to fill any empty slots??
So if 2 weeks is better to try to fill a spot?? then is it best to call a cruise company? Or continue to try and book online?

Because of 911, homeland security will tell you that you can no longer show up on cruise day and get on a cruise. Most cruises have to have a passenger list by the last week before the cruise. They prefer you book no later then 2 weeks before, but of course it could be full or all that is left is an inside cabin if that is OK with you.
