Question by A.B.: What’s a better cruise line, Carnival or Princess?
We have cruised with Royal Carribean and we loved it. My wife and I are 28 and 30 years old and want a cruise line that isn’t all older people. We enjoy the bars, clubs, parties, but also good food and a nice, clean ship. What would you recommend?

Carnival has way more old people. Princess has more swingers.

Question by tjracer30: Whats the best cruise line for 22 year olds?
Looking to go on a cruise with a bunch of friends we’re all over 21, and want a cruise line with good nightlife/clubs, and entertainment. None of us have ever been on a cruise and don’t know what included in the price and what isn’t. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

none. unless there is a 25 yr old in the cabin, you will not be allowed to travel unless you are married.
cruise lines stick to the us age for doing things. 21 to drink, and 18 to gamble.
NOT included: tips and gratuity of 10$ per day per person. supper club, bingo at 10$ per card, sodas, alcoholic beverages, spinning class, bottled water, photos, souvioners
INCLUDED: all the food you can eat except at specility coffee shops, all other entertainment.

Question by Keep On Trucking: What’s the best cruise line for a non-hoity-toity world-cruise?
I want to take a world cruise, but I don’t want to be around a bunch of snobs nor have a restrictive dress code. Would Princess or Holland America fit this bill? Which line is better? Are there any other options?

Answer by cruisingenie
Cunard began the concept of World Cruises back in 1922 and since then, the tradition has continued with cruise lines that are either premium (such as Princess and Holland America) or Luxury (Cunard, Crystal).
All of the lines mentioned above have formal dinners — where you’re assigned a table and a seating (early or late) which doesn’t change for the length of the cruise. The dress code, in the evenings, will be “business casual” to formal.
If you’re interested in going on a world cruise, you might want to consider SilverSea (considered to be in a category between premium and luxury) — their cruises are “all-inclusive” so there will not be additional charges for beverages, gratuities, etc., the ships are smaller, and the dining is somewhat more flexible. Business casual is the standard for a dress code.
Enjoy!

I’m a single teacher, and have never been on a cruise ship, but would love to go on a cruise. I live in the Boston area. Can anyone suggest a cruise line that would be fun for an unmarried single straight male teacher? I wouldn’t mind meeting other single teachers- To any teachers who love to go cruising in the summer, which cruise line do you recommend?
a cruise where I might experience some whoopie would be a good thing. I am single after all.

Question by Kris B: My husband and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary and am planning a cruise. What’s a good cruise line?
We would like a quiet and peaceful cruise. Meaning not a lot of children running around. I am a preschool teacher and would like a real vacation
We are looking at the Norwegien cruise line and the Carnival but would consider others. I would like formal nights but don’t like the idea of sharing a table with other couples we don’t know. So I am torn on the freestyle cruises. We have also decided on the Western Carribean.
Thanks!

Royal Caribbean is the best… you can try other cruise lines but not Carnival.. I think they are cheap and dull cruise liner. They will offer you cheap cruise and you will get bad vacation. I have had cruised with Royal, Carnival, Norwegian NCL, Holland America….. the best for me is Royal Caribbean Cruises… visit their website at www.royalcaribbean.com and choose your destination.. I would suggest you should take the European cruise…. particularly Baltic… I’ve been on Jewel Of the Seas and it is awesome times awesome….great crew onboard too… I’ve been on Legend of the Seas too in the Mediterranean.. I really had a great time of my life… I will spend my next vacation on the grandest ship the Freedom of the Seas…

Carnival is a good first choice. It is not the most expensive but, they have good cruises in the US and Caribbean. I like to go to this site to check itineraries – http://www.vacationstogo.com/. They have just about every cruise line itinerary anywhere in the world listed. Once we find the cruise that we want, we go to the cruise line’s web site where it is usually the same price or better. Also, it doesn’t hurt to call the cruise line to see if they can give you discount or an upgrade. http://www.cruisereviews.com/ is a good site for getting cruise info. There are some places on the ship that can be noisy so it’s good to ask about that if it’s your first cruise (can you say under the disco?).

Question by Rose Arizona: What’s the best cruise line for a non-drinking, mellow, but beautiful trip?
I want to go to the Caribbean as soon as my baby is a little older and I have a bunch of cash (let me dream). I do not drink alcohol and would not take my son. I’m not into shows or loud music. I just envision me in the sun on the ocean reading, napping, getting massages and generally just relaxing and eating healthy, but good, food.
In other words, I want a quiet, beautiful cruise – not a party cruise.
Which cruise line is the best for this?

well, that’s the million dollar question – they all end up being “party cruises” in the end – I took carnival and it was a great relaxing experience, especially if you are a morning person – so beautiful outside and all the partiers are just going to sleep!
